Hearty carrot stew in the KRC-140 multicooker. Hearty carrot stew with sausage or bacon.
Menu:
Steam - 30 mins + Soup - 60 mins
Ingredients:
- 500g carrots
- 300g potatoes
- 1 onion
- 250g sausage (preferably smoked) or bacon
- 1.2 L broth
- 2 bay leaves
- 1/2 tsp savory
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp marjoram
- Pepper
Preparation:
First, fry the onion and sausage. To do this, select the 'STEAM' setting on the oven for 30 minutes. Fry everything until it starts to brown slightly.
In the meantime, peel and chop the carrots and potatoes, and add them to the fried onion and sausage mixture. Top up with the broth and add the remaining seasonings. If necessary, cancel the 'STEAM' program by selecting OFF (if the 30 minutes haven't been used up) and set it to 'SOUP' for 60 minutes.
At the end of the cooking time, season the soup with salt. If you like, you can add a dollop of crème fraîche.
