CLEANING

After the mixing process, the glass container can becomfortablewith theClean cleaning programAfter blending, you can add some dish soap and warm water to the container and run the "cleaning program." The blendergently removes mix residues from the container. Then rinse with clean water – done.

The big advantage for thorough cleaning is that the blade attachment can be unscrewed. This allows easy access to the blades and allows them to be cleaned with a dish brush.

NOISE REDUCTION

Thanks to vibration dampening and improved airflow guidance, engine noise is effectively reduced. The result is less noise pollution.

SECURITY

Overheating protection:Overheating protection automatically shuts off the motor in the event of an overload and only restarts it after it has cooled down. The motor is also safely protected against water ingress.

Can the KSB-170 also crush ice cubes?

Yes! Thanks to its 1,000-watt power and pulse function, the blender is ideal for ice crushing. It's perfect for frozen margaritas or ice-cold smoothies.

Are the containers leak-proof?

Both the large glass container and the 2Go cup are equipped with high-quality seals. The drinking spout of the 2Go bottle closes absolutely securely, so you can transport your smoothie in your bag without worry.

What's the easiest way to clean the device?

The containers can be pre-cleaned with warm water and a little dish soap directly on the device in pulse mode. The blade units are removable, allowing for thorough cleaning under running water.

HOW DO I CLEAN THE BLENDING CONTAINER?

The substances and minerals contained in various foods can leave a film of dirt on the inside of the blending container after repeated use. The containers can become discolored or turn milky and cloudy.

We therefore recommend cleaning the blending containers at regular intervals.

• If you have mainly processed carotene-containing foods such as carrots, bell peppers or tomato paste, or used highly coloring spices such as turmeric, wiping the container with a little cooking oil is usually sufficient.
• When grinding grains, beans, rice, sugar, nuts and legumes, the container will permanently become milky. Some green vegetables, spices and protein powders can also cause this milky appearance. This is purely cosmetic and has no influence on the function of the container – Please note that any cosmetic changes that occur are not covered by the warranty.

There are several methods to remove discoloration in the blending container:

• Fill the blending container halfway with warm water and add three tablespoons of vinegar essence to the container. To achieve an even better effect, you can also add a teaspoon of baking soda. Let the mixture sit for approx. 2-3 hours. Then rinse thoroughly with water.
• You can fill the blending container halfway with warm water and add baking powder. Let the baking powder sit for about an hour, then rinse thoroughly with clear water.
• Alternatively, you can fill the blending container halfway with warm water and add two to three denture cleaning tablets. Let the denture cleaner sit for about an hour, then rinse thoroughly with clear water.
• You can achieve an environmentally friendly cleaning with the juice of a lemon and two to three tablespoons of baking powder or baking soda. Fill the container halfway with warm water and add the ingredients. Let the blender run for about 10 seconds in PULSE mode. Then empty the container and clean the inner walls with a non-scratching soft sponge. Then rinse the container thoroughly with water.
• Alternatively, you can simply place the container with some lemon juice outside in the sun; after a few hours, the sun, together with the citric acid, will have bleached out the deposits.

ARE THE BLENDING CONTAINERS AND BLADES DISHWASHER-SAFE?

• Please do not clean the two blade attachments in the dishwasher, as the blades cannot be removed from the plastic attachment and the cleaning salts and rinse aid can damage the blades in the long run.
• The blade insert would suffer in the dishwasher, as the blades are very sensitive to acidic foods and salty dishwasher detergents. They would therefore be corroded in the long run.
