Information on the disposal of old electrical equipment
Information obligations towards private households according to S 18 ElektroG
According to Section 17 of the German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG), we are not obliged to take back old electrical and electronic equipment free of charge under the conditions specified therein.
1. INFORMATION ON THE DISPOSAL OF ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT AND THE MEANING OF THE SYMBOL IN ANNEX 3 TO THE ELECTRICAL
We would like to point out to all owners of waste electrical and electronic equipment that they are legally obligated to dispose of these devices separately from unsorted municipal waste. This law specifically prohibits the disposal of waste electrical and electronic equipment in the residual waste bin or the yellow bin. The symbol of a crossed-out wheeled bin shown below, which is attached to electrical and electronic equipment, also indicates the obligation to dispose of these devices separately:
In connection with the sale of batteries or the delivery of devices containing batteries, we are obliged to inform you of the following:
As an end user, you are legally obligated to return used batteries. You can return used batteries that we carry or have carried as new batteries free of charge to our shipping warehouse (KeMar GmbH, Service, Rohlfsstr. 5, D-81929 Munich). The symbols shown on the batteries have the following meaning:
The symbol of the crossed-out garbage bin means that the battery must not be disposed of with household waste.
Pb = Battery contains more than 0.004% lead by mass
Cd = Battery contains more than 0.002 mass percent cadmium
Hg = Battery contains more than 0.0005 mass percent mercury.
Please note the above information.
We would like to point out to all owners of old electrical and electronic equipment that you are legally obliged to remove old batteries and accumulators before disposing of these old devices, unless they are enclosed in the old equipment.
2. INFORMATION ON THE OPTIONS FOR RETURNING OLD DEVICES
Owners of old devices can hand them in using the return or collection facilities established and available by public waste disposal authorities to ensure proper disposal of old devices. If necessary, electrical and electronic devices can also be handed in for reuse. Further information is available from the respective collection or return facility.

3. NOTICE ON DATA PROTECTION
We would like to point out to all end users of waste electrical and electronic equipment that they are responsible for deleting personal data from the waste equipment being disposed of. Some waste equipment being disposed of contains sensitive personal data that must not fall into the hands of third parties.
