In principle, any vegetables are suitable, such as carrots, zucchini, broccoli, onions, garlic, leeks, beans, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, potatoes, tomatoes, and much more. These should be cleaned and cut into small pieces.
Preparation:
Place 2-3 measuring cups (one measuring cup holds approximately 180 ml) into the pot. Place the steamer insert on top of the pot. Now place the finely chopped vegetables into the steamer insert. You can season the vegetables with salt, pepper, or herbs at this point. You can also wait until the vegetables are steamed. Select "STEAM" in the menu. The time is preset to 30 minutes. Please note that potatoes require longer steaming times than broccoli, for example, which is ready in 10-15 minutes. Factor this into your cooking time. If you want to cook white rice in the pot below at the same time, please be careful not to cut the vegetables too thinly. They could fall through the holes in the steamer insert into the rice below. If you want to cook white rice and vegetables at the same time using the steamer insert, select "WHITE RICE" in the menu. Do not place the steamer in the pot until after about 15 minutes, otherwise the vegetables will become too soft.
