Make your own hummus.
Ingredients:
470 g canned or jarred chickpeas (already soaked)
100 g sesame paste
500 ml. cold water
Juice of one lemon
1 garlic clove
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon cumin
4 tablespoons olive oil
If you don't have tahini paste, you can quickly and easily make one using the following ingredients:
100 g sesame seeds (toast in a pan until fragrant)
40 ml sunflower oil
10 ml sesame oil
Preparation:
If you don't have tahini paste (sesame paste), you can prepare it as follows:
Toast the sesame seeds in a pan until they begin to smell. Let them cool briefly, then pour them into the 2-liter container with both oils. Blend using the MASHER program for 1 minute 10 seconds until a paste forms.
Leave the paste in the bowl and add all the other ingredients, close the lid, and run the Masher program for 2:30 minutes. The oil will begin to emulsify (combine) with the water, and the paste will become nice and creamy.
