Supporting Innovative Carbon Removal Technologies

E-commerce deliveries generate transport emissions. For this reason, through the Planet Initiative, we specifically support pioneering companies that actively remove carbon from the atmosphere and store it permanently.

The contribution of participating companies:

• Promotion of projects for the active removal of carbon from the atmosphere.

• Financial support for initiatives for long-term carbon sequestration.

How the funding works: For every order received by us, the estimated shipping emissions are calculated based on the transport distance. Based on these values, a portion of our revenue goes directly to specialized carbon removal companies, which are scientifically evaluated by scientists from Carbon Direct, among others.

The capital provided is used to sequester the CO₂ generated by transport through removal projects and to financially promote the further development of future-proof removal technologies.

Selected carbon removal partner projects

• Grassroots Carbon: Supports farmers and ranchers in switching to soil-friendly farming methods. This strengthens soil health and promotes the natural storage of carbon in the soil.

• Mast Reforestation: Combines proven forestry practices with modern technology to reforest areas destroyed by wildfires. The service includes seed collection, the cultivation of resilient seedlings, and the implementation of reforestation projects for long-term carbon sequestration.
