Ingredients:

1 liter of UHT milk, 1 sachet of yogurt cultures (alternatively, a pot of live organic yogurt usually works)

Preparation:

To prepare yogurt, we recommend heating UHT milk to 38°C. For fresh, soy, raw, premium, or lactose-free milk, heat to near boiling point and then allow to cool to 38°C.

Depending on the manufacturer, carefully stir one sachet of yogurt powder or cultures into the milk. For lactose-free milk, add 1 tablespoon of cane sugar.

Pour this mixture into glass containers or yogurt containers (not included).

Pour a measuring cup of water into the inner pot and place the yogurt containers inside. Close the lid and activate the yogurt menu program. Adjust the cooking time using the + and - buttons (according to the yogurt culture instructions).

Let the finished yogurt ripen in the refrigerator for a few hours. This allows the yogurt's full flavor to develop.

You can save a few tablespoons of the finished yogurt and use it to make or inoculate new yogurt.
