High-quality steamer insert made of rustproof, uncoated SUS304 stainless steel (18/8). The steamer insert is exclusively compatible with the KeMar KRC-100 rice cooker and allows for vitamin- and nutrient-preserving preparation of vegetables, fish, tofu, or dim sum above the food being cooked.

IS THE STEAMING INSERT DISHWASHER SAFE?

Yes, the uncoated stainless steel steaming insert is dishwasher safe. To maintain the surface shine of the stainless steel in the long term and to prevent pitting and visual discoloration caused by aggressive dishwasher chemicals, we recommend simple cleaning by hand with lukewarm water, mild detergent, and a soft sponge.

CAN RICE BE COOKED AND STEAMING BE USED AT THE SAME TIME?

Yes, cooking rice and steaming vegetables, fish, or tofu at the same time is easily possible. The stainless steel steaming insert is simply placed directly on the upper rim of the inner pot in the KRC-100. The rising steam from the cooking process cooks the ingredients in the steaming insert while preserving vitamins and nutrients.
