Is the steam release valve dishwasher safe?

Yes, the steam release valve made of stainless steel and polypropylene is generally dishwasher safe.

  • Care tip: To thoroughly clear the fine steam channels of food and grease residue and to protect the plastic material from becoming brittle over time due to aggressive dishwasher salts, we recommend simple hand cleaning under running, lukewarm water with a little mild dish soap and a soft sponge.
  • Dishwasher note: If you clean the valve in the dishwasher, it is best to place it in the cutlery basket or the top rack so that it does not come into direct contact with the heating elements.
