Is the steamer basket dishwasher safe?

Yes, the steamer basket is made of solid, uncoated SUS 304 stainless steel and is fully100% dishwasher safe.

• Care instructions:Since the steamer basket is completely coating-free and rustproof, it can be cleaned in the dishwasher without any concerns. Alternatively, you can simply rinse it by hand after use with warm water, a little dish soap, and a soft sponge or brush.

Can rice be cooked and food steamed in the steamer basket at the same time?

Yes, you can cook rice in the bottom of the rice cooker and steam food in the steamer basket on top at the same time.

• How it works:The steamer basket is simply hooked onto the rim of the inner pot. While the rice cooks in the water, the rising hot steam simultaneously cooks vegetables, fish, poultry, or dumplings in the steamer basket – saving time and energy.
