IS THE STEAMING INSERT DISHWASHER SAFE?

Yes, the steamer insert is dishwasher-safe, but we advise against it, as the aggressive cleaning salts in dishwasher tablets will damage the coating. We recommend cleaning with lukewarm water, a little dish soap, and a soft sponge.

Can rice be cooked and steamed at the same time?

Yes, rice can be cooked and steamed simultaneously. The steamer insert on the KRC-300 sits on the inner rim of the pot.
