IS THE STEAMING INSERT DISHWASHER-SAFE?

Yes, the steaming insert made of uncoated SUS304 stainless steel is dishwasher-safe. To ensure a long-lasting, high-quality surface appearance and to preserve the shine of the stainless steel, we recommend cleaning by hand with lukewarm water, a little mild dish soap, and a soft sponge.

CAN RICE BE COOKED AND FOOD STEAMED AT THE SAME TIME?

Yes, you can cook rice and steam ingredients simultaneously. For the KeMar KRC-200 (as well as the KCC-280), simply place the steaming insert onto the rim of the inner pot.

What has been changed or checked?

1. Correction of technically incorrect information & removal of misleading warnings (§ 5 UWG): Incorrect coating note removed:The steaming insert is made of solid, uncoated SUS304 stainless steel. The sentence“because the coating suffers from the aggressive cleaning salts in dishwasher tabs”contradicted the actual material properties and was technically incorrect. Uncoated stainless steel does not have a coating that could peel off or suffer damage.Removal of potentially legally actionable derogatory comments about detergents:The generalized derogatory wording“aggressive cleaning salts”was removed, as stainless steel (18/10) is resistant to commercially available dishwasher detergents.
2. Grammar, typography & language correction: Dishwasher suitability:Spelling (“Spülmaschinen geeignet”→ “spülmaschinengeeignet”) and incorrect article (“die Dämpfeinsatz”→ “der Dämpfeinsatz”) have been corrected.Simultaneous cooking:Sentence construction (“da gleichzeitig Reis kocht und gleichzeitig gedämpft werden”) has been linguistically refined (“gleichzeitig Reis kochen und Zutaten dämpfen”).Hand-washing grammar: “lauwarmen Wasser”was corrected to the standard dative case (“lauwarmem Wasser”).
3. Objective & verifiable property specifications (EmpCO, points 1 & 5):Suitability for the dishwasher is a verifiable basic property of SUS304 stainless steel. The care recommendation for hand-washing is described factually for the preservation of the glossy surface finish.
